Your Student Government, At Your Service

On April 1, 2007, the ECGPS became the sole student government for graduate and professional students at Iowa.  The ECGPS operates in cooperation with the University of Iowa Student Government (UISG), the student government for undergraduate students.  In Spring 2009, ECGPS and UISG separated as independent governments and emerged from the shared PSGI Constitution.  Each entity acts independently, although still work together, share resources, and serve simultaneously on committees.  More information and documentation regarding the ECGPS-UISG relationship will soon be posted on this site to clarify our unions and areas of autonomy.

The University of Iowa Executive Council of Graduate and Professional Students (ECGPS). We represent the over 9,000 University of Iowa graduate and professional students.  ECGPS is composed of six member governments from each degree-granting college at The University:
