Travel Grants
PAGs Travel Grants – 2012-13 session:
Meetings/ conferences are an important part of graduate and professional students’ early career. It provides a great opportunity to get connected with the external world, to share ideas and broaden our knowledge. Connecting with old friends, learning about professional issues and resources, and making new professional connections are building blocks of the early career of graduate and professional students. ECGPS Travel Grant is a small way to help in career development by providing travel funding assistance to graduate and professional students who will present their work at conferences and professional or academic gatherings. The committee will fund students up to $300 and up to two applications to deserving applications at multiple deadlines throughout each fiscal year. Students can only receive one PAGs award per conference.
This grant provides funding to graduate and professional students that have been accepted or invited to give an original presentation at a conference. The format of the presentation varies with different disciplines and conferences; it includes but is not limited to original research, music recitals, artwork, film/cinema, posters, or oral presentations.
It does not include participating in a workshop or attending a conference if the student is not presenting original work.

FAQ:
Q: Can I submit more than one application per given application cycle, if I present at more than one conference?
A: No. The applicant can only submit ONE application per application cycle. If a student needs to apply for two different conferences, he/she cannot do so within the same cycle and needs to plan ahead to distribute applications toward applying in different cycles.
Please email the chairperson(s) with any questions that arise which may not have been covered in the instructions.
